According to Reuters, Lavrov expressed gratitude to North Korea for its support in Russia's conflict in Ukraine and pledged "full support and solidarity" from Moscow towards the leader of North Korea.

The publication also states that there is ongoing activity in the vicinity of the North Korean port, located near Russia. Since the end of August, at least six maritime voyages have been recorded between the two countries.
