Putin is negotiating the establishment of a military base in Libya, which Bloomberg reports will pose a threat to all of Europe.

According to sources from the publication, a defense agreement is being prepared between the Russian president and the commander of the Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar, following their meeting in Moscow at the end of September.

Russia plans to create a naval base, thereby expanding its military presence in eastern Libya, which will give it a significant foothold at the southern doorstep of Europe.

As a result, Russian military ships could potentially be granted the right to be stationed in the Libyan port of Tobruk, which is located just a few hundred kilometers across the Mediterranean Sea from Greece and Italy.
