"Hamas and Putin are different threats, but they have much in common. Both want to destroy neighboring democracies. [...] I won't allow that! We cannot forget who we are. We are the United States of America. There's nothing we can't achieve," said the U.S. president.
He also confirmed that he would send a request to Congress today for emergency funding to aid Israel and Ukraine. Biden stated that supporting and helping these two allies is in the national interests of the United States but did not mention the amount he will request.
Media reports, citing anonymous officials, suggest that this figure could reach $100 billion.
"History teaches us that when terrorists go unpaid for terror, when dictators go unpunished for aggression, it leads to new chaos and death, new destruction. They don't stop, and the cost and threats to America and the world increase," said the American leader.
